Canadian Club whiskey is one of the most popular whiskeys which was awarded with the Order of Queen Victoria and many other prizes. It has particularly pure taste as is produced according to a special recipe –- a blend of corn, rye and barley, aged in oak barrels for six years. Due to such long maturation the drink acquires its unique soft and sweet fragrance with hints of rye. Canadian Club has balanced and sweet taste. It obtained its actual name only in 1889, when the United States issue a law demanding to specify the country of origin on the label. Then its manufacturer, Hiram Walker, added to the drink's name the word "Canadian" and so its present name is Canadian Club.
